so no surprise that i slept late today. about noon. and there went another couple hours of work. i had been planning on spending this morning writing my modern architecture paper. after brunch i noticed a sign for a show at brown tonight with the magnetic fields. completely un-publicized as far as i know, except for this one poster.
stopped by the id building to see about vacuum-forming. didn't see anyone. popped into the beb briefly. made some little feet for my site model.
library at two. i didn't have great hopes for getting a lot of work done. since we're entering the last two weeks there will be lots of people scrambling to get things done. and working in the library, i'll have to help them. which was the case. i re-read the first half of the essay that we have to write our paper about, and then i barely had a chance to sit down for the rest of my shift.
sometimes when i go to the met it is full of freshman and no one that i know. tonight there were five separate tables with people i could have sat with, basically stratified by department. i sat with maureen and this other guy in furniture. then when they left, sat with mike and eventually annie laudie (i think that's how it's spelled) and another interior girl whos name i don't know. and then when i was leaving i saw that trevor and jen and leo had just arrived, so i sat with them for a while.
left with jen. told her my story of drinking and elves. then came home to work on my paper. i had decided that there was no way i could really afford to go to the magnetic fields show, as i had already set myself back last night and this morning.
so i spent the evening writing. and was doing pretty good about quashing my distractions. but about 1030 i did some more reading for my paper and couldn't keep my eyes open. i ended up falling asleep for a couple of hours, and at that point working was basically suspended for the evening.
