happy spring.
statics exam at 730 this morning. monday morning. andrew (yes, i have two teachers named andrew this semester) didn't show up until eight. some sort of car issues. so he changed one of the problems from required to extra credit. of course i was half way through it (which was a good amount of work, it was probably the hardest problem) before i figured out that it was the extra credit problem that i was working on. and so was briefly worried that i had wasted all my time, and wouldn't finish the required problems, but realized that there was only one more. so it worked out. and i got back to the extra credit, and was writing the final answer just as he said "okay, time's up."
message from nikki when i got back. we've been on completely opposite paths recently. but i guess that's to be expected, as we're on opposite sides of the world.
read comics in the library.
james turrell was here to give a lecture tonight. the auditorium was packed. he sorta does with his work what i really want to do with architecture: the creation of magical spaces. and he studied with ceramicists in college. and then decided that he wanted to work with light.
and back to the studio for a number of hours this evening.
