first thing in the morning i headed down to a computer lab to print out my map labels. had to call public safety to get the lab opened. spring break and all (although the labs never open when they're s'posed to normally). wrestled with the printer.

to the beb. cut up the labels. paste them on the maps.

to the copy center, hoping they'd be open over spring break. copies made. paid for in dimes and nickels.

back to the beb to drop off the finished maps. it was a pretty half-hearted job all around, my part and sarah's part. the labels were nice though.

walked downtown to pick up tickets for the upcoming ida and catpower shows at as220. (have i mentioned that ida is coming back to town? yay!) sat in the as220 cafe, had a ginger beer and tried to write poetry. i should hang out in coffee houses and the like more often. it would be nice if as220 or something like it was closer to campus though. the music in the background wasn't great (although i'm sure that all depends on who's working behind the counter), but it's a very artistic atmosphere. there's even a gallery upstairs.

and speaking of getting out, and of artistic things, i went to see a show tonight. sean na-na, ted leo, the holy childhood, and seeland. hadn't heard of any of them (although there's members of purple ivy shadows in seeland), but it was a p squared production, and they're responsible for bringing a good number of the indie shows to providence.

it was nice to get out, sorta the real start to my spring break. and a pretty good show. saw hoffman and jen.f there. we talked for bit between sets.

today's soundtrack: antarctica, 81:03; sloan, second hand views, (video collection); yo la tengo, and then nothing turned itself inside-out; live show (see above).
