venice. there's something fascinating about the canals/no cars/buildings on stilts, but the city is crowded with tourists and the shops catering to them. i'm not sure i could ever really get into it. although i did find vegan food at lunch time. a little middle eastern restaurant. not great, but the first falafel i've had in a month, so good in that regard.
more churches today. the late afternoon was free, and there's a number of exhibitions here in venice, but i wanted to rest my eyes before going to the biennale tomorrow.
went out for dinner with lindsey, jane, and david.p. we're staying in a little town outside of venice and there weren't too many options, but we walked out a little further than the rest of the risd kids and found a restaurant attached to another hotel. it was very nice, and fairly reasonably priced.
