Traditions have to start somewhere.

Last night on the subway I started to feel the first twinges of a headache. By the time I got home it was a full-blown debilitating migraine. I did my best to fall asleep in the face of it (I'm totally out of pain meds), but the night was fitful.
And while I wasn't terribly well rested this morning, I did mange to get myself up and out to brunch before heading to Grand Central and a MetroNorth train out of the city for the holidays.
My mom picked me up at the train station, Aaron also came over this evening, and the tree of us had a Christmas Eve dinner of Japanese food. It's not the first time I've had a Japanese themed holiday meal, my second attempt at making veggie sushi was for Christmas in Austin seven years ago, as was the meal that pretty directly led to the first regular sushi night.
