Sexy accents.
16 February 2006
Finally did laundry today. Chris.W called while I was at the laundromat to ask my availability for a project. 'It seems like there's a lot of stuff on the horizon,' he said. 'Things could be getting very busy.'
'Well, I sort of feel like I've been on vacation for the last three or four weeks. And now that I've gotten my grad school application done, I've got plenty of time again and would love to get into some projects.' Talk of the Beijing Olympics. 'I'd love to go back to China. It's been.. When was I there, 1992?' And of London. 'I've never been to England, a lot of continental Europe, but not England.'
'England's really nothing special.'
'I've heard nice things. And I take it that London's really a lot like New York, except all the women have those sexy British accents.'
This afternoon, however, was not about work or travel, but home improvement. I got sealant to try and fix the leaky radiator in my office / studio. I got coat hooks to replace the hook that was hanging on the back of the door that I took down to use as a desk. A little trash can.
Then Digital Society, to thank Dan again for letting me use their printers, and to tell him that if they still had one of the full-size midi piano keyboards in stock (there is a demo model out right now that is the one that he bought for himself) that I've decided to bribe myself with it if I can get my apartment cleaned.
Sacred Chow for dinner. And home.
